Follow up on: SFCN – TiVo – HD – CableCard
Well, to keep it short, we no longer us SFCN for our cable service.
I think it is very unfortunate that i was not able to get a response from them to get this resolved. I called Comcast last Thursday and they came out Friday morning and set it all up.
The kids TiVo works just the same as it always did. My TiVo now has HD channels (love it). Our extra TV in the loft now has a digital box that features On-Demand. My kids think that is pretty great as it comes with whole lot of Children's programming.
SFCN does have a HD DVR available, but there is a waiting list. No Thanks.
In summary, SFCN is a decent cable provider. Unless you want to use something that is able to use a CableCARD. Such as a TiVo.
Now if Comcast can just catch up with the latest DirecTV HD announcements.
Buh-bye SFCN. Hello Comcast!

We loved Comcast … especially the On-Demand feature. Our condos switched to MStar – which seems fine (internet is faster than DSL) – but, we still need to set up a DVR (which is extra) – and I think that means OnDemand. I really don’t know what I’m talking about – I just know that some things are nice to have (and hard to live without … on demand).
So, I guess we’ll be going with Comcast when we move out there. According to Tyler, we HAVE to have HDTV (is that what it’s called?) … and I HAVE to have On-Demand for the kiddies.
Anywho – thanks for the info. It was very enjoyable and appreciated.

My kids love On-Demand. Comcast really is a better solution in my opinion. Plus it doesn’t hurt that we can get all of the BYU games.
HDTV, yep that’s what its called. Can’t wait for ya’all to move down to spanish fork.
